Home Photovoltaic System: Sustainable energy and savings for your home

Home Photovoltaic System: Sustainable energy and savings for your home

A home photovoltaic system is an environmentally friendly solution that turns sunlight into electricity for your home. Magma Solar, founded in December 2022, offers state-of-the-art solutions with the best photovoltaic panels on the market, ensuring savings and sustainability.

Excess energy produced can be fed into the power grid through on-site exchange, creating a credit that further reduces the cost of the
utility bill.

Components and Operation of a Home Photovoltaic System

A home photovoltaic system consists of:

  • Photovoltaic panels: capture sunlight and convert it into direct current.

  • Inverter: converts direct current to alternating current, which can be used by household appliances.

  • Storage system (optional): stores energy for use at night or in the absence of sunlight.

  • Monitoring system: allows you to check production and energy consumption in real time.

Permits for the Installation of a Photovoltaic System

Installing a home photovoltaic system is simple. Normally, a Certified Notice to Start Work (CILA) is sufficient. However, in areas subject to historical or landscape constraints, additional permits may be required.

Administrative management is a key component to the success of any solar energy-related project.

Here are the activities we can do for you:

Processing paperwork from the GSE portal:

We handle all necessary paperwork for access to government incentives and on-site exchange systems.

Processing paperwork from the E-DISTRIBUTION portal:

We facilitate interfacing with network operators to ensure fast and efficient connections.

Processing paperwork from the TERNA portal:

We provide technical and administrative support for managing communications with the national power grid operator.

Connection requests:

we take care of all the steps, from technical documentation to official application, to connect your PV system to the power grid.

Economic Benefits of Home Photovoltaics

With a home PV system, you can significantly reduce the cost of your electricity bill. On-site exchange allows you to generate an economic credit on excess energy fed into the grid, greatly reducing your expenses and, in some cases, zeroing out your bills.

Energy consulting: We provide customized analysis to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Ideal Power for a Photovoltaic System

For an average family (3-4 persons) living in about 100 square meters, a 3 kW system is generally sufficient. For higher consumption or cottages, a 6 kW system with a
storage is more suitable. For 3 kW, about 15-20 sq m of panels are needed, while for 6 kW, about 30-40 sq m are needed.

Free inspections and estimates: We offer no-obligation inspections to assess your needs and provide you with an accurate and detailed estimate.

Incentives and Photovoltaic Bonus 2025

Today you can benefit from important incentives:

  • Tax deduction of up to 50% of the cost incurred only and exclusively on the first home.
  • On-site exchange: remuneration for energy fed into the grid, which, however, by September will no longer be available
  • Reduced VAT at 10% instead of 22% only on new construction.

We guide you in choosing the best financing solutions to make your investment affordable and profitable.

Optimal Placement of Photovoltaic Panels

Ideal installation is on a south-facing roof, although east-west orientations may be valid. The optimal location maximizes daily solar exposure.

Free inspections and estimates: We offer no-obligation inspections to assess your needs and provide you with an accurate and detailed estimate.

Disadvantages of a Home Photovoltaic System

The main disadvantages are the initial cost and the need for periodic maintenance, but these are offset by the significant economic and environmental benefits.

Complete FAQ on home photovoltaic system

Permits and regulations

Certified Notice to Start Work (CILA), except in specific cases.

Yes, up to 800 W.

Operation and installation

Thermal for hot water, photovoltaic for electricity.

Through the inverter and bidirectional meter for on-site exchange.

Based on average household consumption (3 kW for average household, 6 kW for higher consumption).

About 15-20 sq m for 3 kW, 30-40 sq m for 6 kW.

Incentives and bonuses updated to 2025

In 2025, anyone who installs a home photovoltaic system can access the Conto Termico 3.0, a non-refundable incentive that reimburses up to 100 percent of expenses for solar panels, storage batteries, and charging stations. The reimbursement comes directly to your bank account.

Until September 2025, it is still possible to apply for the Power Exchange, which allows energy produced to be offset against energy consumed. After this date, it will be possible to use Dedicated Withdrawal, which allows excess energy to be sold to the GSE.

Another interesting opportunity is to join a renewable energy community (REC): in this case, the excess energy produced can be shared with other community members, gaining economic benefits and contributing to the sustainability of the area.

Costs and savings

Up to 50-70% depending on subjective conditions

Installing a photovoltaic system today does not significantly increase the value of the house because it is now considered an almost "standard" feature in modern real estate, more of an expected feature than an addedvalue.

Convenience and disadvantages

With adequate sun exposure and medium-to-high energy consumption.

In case of low exposure or high shading.

Initial cost and periodic maintenance offset by economic benefits.

Panels and storage

About 8-10 standard panels.

Generally 5 to 10 kWh capacity.

With Magma Solar, your home photovoltaic system is at your fingertips.
